What is the format? |

An introduction to Situational Project
Management deals with the softer issues always
found within projects or activities that involve
virtual teams working across boundaries.
Designed to give managers an insight into how
people react to certain situations within the
project, the types of characters and their
agendas and drivers. |
|
This is a fully interactive session which will
follow a loose agenda (see below) to allow the
meeting to flow the way that best suits the
delegates. Those delivering the workshop come
form both sides of the project situation and
have extensive experience in running successful
projects to time and budget. |
| |
|
|
|
This workshop discusses:
|
|
They are ready to share their
findings, frustrations and advice in addition to
answering more specific questions from delegates
on issues they might have. |
|
Ø The types of people and how to recognise their strengths and
weaknesses.
Ø
Communication and coordination – the two most important words in
a project.
Ø How to keep it focussed, to budget and on time.
Ø How to align and prioritise the virtual team needs
Ø
How to handle perceptions of both the team and the end user /
project sponsor
Ø
How to ensure they deliver on the actions assigned in the agreed
timescales and not the one they decided you
asked for.
Ø
How to avoid excessive numbers of change controls, project creep
or deadline extensions

responses and have been disguised to protect
identities of both those who responded and those
who issued the tender. All have the mutual

The

take the direction required by delegates so that
they can get the most benefit from it. |

| |
Project disciplines include programme
management,
project management, project recovery, project
advisory and project audit services to a variety
of clients. |
