Winning the Tender - an Interactive Workshop

This workshop pulls apart the tender document and introduces a way of thinking and behaving that will lead to more informed tender responses.

It's a measured fact that tender responses, when reviewed within certain guidelines, have an increased rate of success. In fact, in a study for a FTSE 100 company this success was measured at a 34% greater win level.

This workshop discusses how to achieve the correct emotional response in your tender return and, as a result, from your customer. It covers what to say, when to say it and how to say it, recognising that reviewers are different with different perceptions and pressures.

The session is tailored for up to 15 people and although starting with an agenda will take the direction required by delegates so that they can get the most benefit from it.

A typical half day workshop agenda...

What to look for in a Review

  • Emotional content  - examples of what can look like a good tender response but in actual fact will cause extreme negative emotions
  • Accuracy of the answer to the question - many tender responses are excellent but do they actually answer the question?
  • Flow and consistency - many people can contribute to the final response but each has different level of understanding of the customer need
  • Management Summary - one of the few parts of the tender response that will be read by all reviewers and possibly some influencers - it has to be perfect.

A one day session includes the agenda above followed by an in depth review of some of the client's own tenders.
